LeBron James and the NFL
LeBron James raised some eyebrows on Tuesday afternoon after he tweeted a question to ESPN’s John Clayton asking the deadline for NFL teams to sign free agents.

Firt things first, CLEARLY He’s not actually making the jump to the NFL. NBA players make more money in contracts and in endorsements and NFL guys have shorter careers. He’s certainly not going to pull a Bo Jackson or Primetime and try 2 sports at the same time either. But, for the sake of argument, could it work?
I think so. As a SOPHOMORE in high school he was the #2 rated football player in the state of Ohio, a predominant hotbed of football talent. He was only behind the high school SENIOR Maurice Clarett. (Who became the only true freshman to start at RB in Ohio State history and without his alcohol and social issues could’ve been a good, if not great, NFL running back). LBJ wouldn’t be a Tight End like other basketballers turned NFL’ers, he’d be a Wide Receiver. He’s 6’8″ 250/260 with a 44″ vertical and 4.4s speed. — He’d get EVERY SINGLE jump ball — He’s a gifted enough athlete where he’d learn how to run routes and until he does you just put him in on the goal line and throw it up. Even Curtis Painter would look like a stud throwing to this guy.
But what team would pick him up?
Cleveland Browns: Seems like a possibility, but I can’t see too many of the fans liking that move. Maybe it would heal some hearts… maybe not.
Washington Redskins or Oakland Raiders: The Redskins and Raiders go after unproven tbig names all the time. With Al Davis passing away, I don’t think they make the move and since Daniel Snyder has giving up control of the football operations they seem to be making better decisions.
Miami Dolphins: What about Miami? Maybe next year when they have a quarterback (Andrew Luck), until then I think LBJ stays away.
Philadelphia Eagles: LeBron is already on one “Dream Team” that didn’t live up to the hype. I think he’s smart enough to stay away from this one.
New York Jets: This has LeBron James written all over it… but he likes to play in doors and not in the cold. Therefore the answer HAS to be:
Dallas Cowboys: It’s the perfect scenario for everyone involved. Bron Bron’s favorite team is the Cowboys, he’ll get more media attention (read: scrutiny) in Dallas than anywhere else. Jerry Jones is notorious for bringing in style over substance players. It’s indoors. It’s perfect.
