Really San Antonio???
I am sitting here at the San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers game as we await tipoff. We are still more than 10 minutes away from the start of the game and something has already begun to piss me off. How in the hell is it possible that the cheer for the Spurs when they came out of the tunnel was the same volume as the cheers for the Lakers when they came out of their tunnel? I mean REALLY?!?!?!?!
I know that there are some closet Lakers fans here in SA, but this is ridiculous. Almost all of them are wearing some variation of a Kobe jersey from the past 10 years that have either acquired as a gift or sought it out because they are bandwagon fans who follow good players. There is even one DBAG who is here in a Lower Merion HS Kobe Bryant jersey. This absurd display of Laker fandom brings one major questions to mind…..Are the Lakers that popular here in San Antonio (remember that these Lakers fans are bandwagon) or are Spurs fans simply dying out in favor of a team who has won a championship more recently? I would love your thoughts on this…….
