And the 2010 SuperBowl Champion is…

superbowl-XLIV

I don’t usually write about sports or anything else, and especially on a site of any kind, but my mind started working when I thought about ”making my picks” here at the beginning of the pro football season. We all want to make picks! It shows how smart we are about the game. It’s our way of still playing the game, being apart of it. Analyzing all of the info out there.

All of us love to analyze all of the, who went where, who got traded, what the defensive and offensive strengths and weaknesses are. Special teams, turnover ratios, coaching changes. Everything. Nothing “doesn’t matter”. The only thing that matters is that we don’t want anyone, or someone  (you know who I’m talking about) to realize how much time and attention we really do spend thinking, reading, watching, talking, and arguing about it!

I started thinking why do we do it? What’s all the hoopla about?

It all started with the fact that… I’M a FAN! That’s the real fun in it!

We’re all fans! We put our heart into some team for whatever reason. We started doing this …back whenever because whatever sucked us in. First we loved the game. Probably played on some level, (that level of play and ability being grossly exaggerated upon ever since).  Maybe your pick was because you went to school somewhere, our your granddad knew someone who played there. Maybe it’s your home town. Who cares. You bought into a team, you put your heart out there, you said” I’m for you” no matter what… I’m a fan. I’m your fan!

Today at the beginning of this season. I pick “MY TEAM”

Today I can use all of the info out there and come up with the reason “my team” is going to win their division, conference, and yes… even the Superbowl.

And so can you!

Because today (especially today being the beginning) can be the beginning of the FANS dream season… you’re undefeated!  You’ve gotta chance to go all the way! As the season goes on, the arguments can get pretty lopsided for or against your or another’s pick. When the “W’s” and “L’s” start going the wrong way, it can get pretty ugly. But we watch all of them, because you, the fan, never know.

Today I do! I’ve got the picks. It’s MY TEAM!  Feel free to make your own prediction.  No matter how biased it may be.
